Cynthia Praschnik is a Principal of Corsair Capital. She has over 20 years of experience in the infrastructure sector, including in asset management, debt and equity.
Cynthia joined Corsair in 2015 as a senior member of Corsair Infrastructure Management (CIM). She is principally responsible for Vantage Airport Group, a portfolio company of Gateway Infrastructure Investments, a fund managed by CIM.
Vantage, based in Vancouver, Canada, is a global airport operator and developer. Cynthia serves on Vantage’s Board of Directors and Audit Committee, and has been involved in many aspects of the company’s growth initiatives. Cynthia also serves on the boards of two other Gateway portfolio companies, DP World Australia, a container terminal operator, based in Sydney, Australia, and Itínere Infraestructuras, a toll road owner and operator, based in Madrid, Spain.
Prior to joining Corsair, Cynthia was a Director at Citigroup, working in its Alternative Investments division since 2007. While in this position, Cynthia participated in the US$ 3.4 billion infrastructure fund raise for Citi Infrastructure Partners LP (the predecessor of Gateway) and asset management.
Prior to that, Cynthia was a Director at MBIA, working in its Global Infrastructure Finance group and in its International Division, and held positions in France, the UK and the US, focusing on global project finance, structured finance and public finance. Cynthia has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Manhattanville College in Purchase, New York.
