Senior appointments to Melbourne and Sydney Terminals

Message from Chief Operations Officer, Terminals, Max Kruse

For some time, our Melbourne and Sydney terminals have been under the temporary stewardship of Rowan Bullock and Ray Lee, as we conducted a global search for new General Managers Operations.

I’m pleased to announce the appointment of two experienced executives with extensive container stevedoring knowledge.

I’d like to thank Ray and Rowan for their continuing and tireless efforts. Both Rowan and Ray have made a positive impact on the local teams and on DP World Australia.

General Manager Operations — Melbourne Terminal

Robert Snow will join DP World Australia’s Melbourne Terminal as General Manager Operations. With over 20 years’ experience across the transport and logistics industry, Robert brings a high calibre of senior leadership and operational business experience to our business.

Robert joins us from APM Terminals where he was Chief Operations Officer for the Aqaba Container Terminal, Jordan. Prior to that, he worked in Egypt at the Suez Canal Container Terminal.

Robert will join the Melbourne team on Monday, 30 October 2017.

General Manager Operations — Sydney Terminal

Bas Hokke will join DP World Australia as General Manager Operations at our Sydney Terminal. Bas brings with him more than three decades of global ports experience.

Bas was most recently Vice President Group Operations for Asian Terminals Incorporated (ATI), part of the DP World Group in the Philippines. In his six years with ATI, Bas was responsible for the Manila, Batangas and Laguna business units.

Prior to ATI Bas worked with APM Terminals as Chief Operations Officer at Salalah and General Manager Operations at Pelepas.

Bas will start in Sydney on Wednesday, 22 November 2017.

Rowan and Ray will provide a detailed handover to the new General Managers Operations, and will continue to lend us their knowledge and experience through an ongoing working relationship with the Operations Team, beyond their respective departures.

Their professionalism, guidance and leadership was invaluable to the teams in Melbourne and Sydney, and to the wider Operations Team, and we are incredibly grateful for their support.

Once again, thank you to Rowan and Ray, and a very warm welcome to Robert and Bas.

With gratitude,

Max Kruse
